ABOUT RE.POST

RE.POST was created as an outlet for us to present and share all of the items that have served as inspiration for us over the years. Whether it’s a vintage garment, early Japanese anime videos and ephemera, retro gaming and technology or even a vintage object - everything we’ve collected tells a story of nostalgia, connection to our past, quality design and references that have developed our design language and overall design aesthetic.

We intentionally launched with the name RE.POST to serve as a way to re-introduce and re-purpose things that have derived from post-consumer origins. We collect and curate things that we think are cool and deserve another round of discovery and interaction on our site through our thoughtful, hyper-curated selection of product, styling and storytelling. While building out this site, we wanted to create a detailed marketplace for you to freely explore and discover unique items, that hopefully serve as inspiration for you as well - whether you’re a collector, designer or creative looking for inspiration, or even just a shopper looking to purchase items with more sustainable intent.

RE.POST also gives us a platform to present STUDIO RE.POST, our line of upcycled products that started out as our own small DIY project back in 2020. This line serves as our outlet to create compelling products with a clean and modern design aesthetic, that document our ever evolving interest in design experimentation with a focus on eco-friendly and sustainable practices.

We set out in sourcing all of our materials secondhand in an effort to reduce waste and extend the life of previously discarded goods - the same ethos we abide by in all the items we collect. All of our STUDIO RE.POST products are handmade in our design studio in Oakland, California.

Clothing items including a striped polo shirt, a white T-shirt, a light blue T-shirt with a Snoopy graphic, a white bucket hat, a red jacket, a denim jacket, shorts, bandanas, and a leather belt are spread out on a white surface on a hardwood floor.

ABOUT DCEPCION

Twins Daniel and David, aka Dcepcion, have always been interested in art and design at an early age. Growing up in the SF Bay Area, they were exposed to all the creative things that emerged in the mid-90’s and early 2000’s - everything from comic books, video games, early 90’s anime, graffiti and the early introduction of streetwear.

They credit this exposure in helping them to develop their keen eye for design and color that helped propel them into their interest in art and design at a very young age.

Following their passion for design and seeing where it led them creatively, they both ended up in the fashion industry where they’ve each gained over 14+ years of experience in fashion design, product development and retail. Their connection to their past and referencing what they’re drawn to is reflected in the vast curated assortment presented here at RE.POST.
