MEASUREMENT GUIDE

Accurate sizing is important to us here at RE.POST. With our vast assortment of secondhand and vintage garments, it is important that we provide detailed measurements for each piece, especially considering the variations in fit block based on the age of the garment. Many times the tagged sizes do not accurately translate to the modern fit blocks of today.

We provide careful consideration in accurately displaying the garment sizing, including both the tagged sizing on the garment, as well as points of measurement that we carefully record ourselves. For the actual and accurate garment sizing, please refer to the “True Measurements” of each item. To understand our points of measurement and how to read them correctly, please refer to our guides below.

BOTTOMS

FLAT WAIST: Pull the front of the pants up so it lines up evenly with the back. Measure straight across the waist. It is very important to be sure to pull the front completely up in line with the back, or else it will result in a smaller waist measurement, which will not translate to an accurate waist measurement.

FRONT RISE: Measure from the center of the crotch to the top of the waistband.

BACK RISE: On the back, measure from the top of the waistband to the center of the crotch.

UPPER THIGH: Start 1” down from the crotch. Measure straight across the thigh.

KNEE: Start 13” down from the crotch. Measure straight across the knee.

LEG OPENING: Measure across the very bottom of the leg opening.

INSEAM: Measure from the crotch to the end of the leg.

OUTSEAM: Measure from the top of the waistband at the outer side seam all the way down to the end of the leg.
